China's Exports Jump 14.5 per cent in July


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Beijing August 08 (QNA) - China's monthly exports rose 14.5 per cent year-on-year in July while imports fell by 1.6 per cent the government said on Friday. China registered a record monthly trade surplus of 47.3 billion dollars on total trade of 378.5 billion dollars in July according to data from the state customs administration. Exports rose 3 per cent in the first seven months of this year while imports climbed 1 per cent the customs data said. The government has set a broad growth target of 7.5 per cent this year as it tries to rebalance the economy away from its long reliance on exports and infrastructure. Annual growth dropped to 7.7 per cent in the last two years the slowest since 1999.(QNA)
