(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) New Delhi August 08 (QNA) - US Defence Secretary Chuck Hagel Friday held talks with Indian leaders on expanding military ties and new defence deals. Hagel was due to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Arun Jaitley after talks with Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj. He is the second senior US official to visit India since the May election victory of the Modi's Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party. US Secretary of State John Kerry was in India last week. The talks will feature ways to strengthen defence cooperation including military exercises as well as possible joint production of defence hardware officials said.(QNA)
