(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The move comes as a result of violations being reported from different parts of the emirate of breaches in the rules of smoking in public places.The Dubai Municipality has launched a campaign to implement the UAE Cabinet Resolution No. 24 of 2013 and Regulations under Federal Law No 15 of 2009 on Tobacco Control concerning the prohibition and control of tobacco use in public places.
The civic body called on all members of the community and the parties concerned to cooperate with the implementation of the resolution with the aim of building a healthy and safe community and a clean environment free of tobacco toxins.
Director-General of the municipality Hussain Nasser Lootah explained that the civic body is implementing the federal law as part of its commitment to the Federal Government and social responsibility in preserving public health in line with its vision.
