UAE- DM begins summer training for students


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The Dubai Municipality (DM) has started its summer training programme called Innovative Summer for students which will continue till August 25.Khalid Abdul Rahim DM’s Director of Human Resource Department said “The summer training aims at providing students of higher secondary and university students with opportunities to excel ... and gain experiences that help them ... in their professional life and to introduce them to actual working environments through the practice of different corporate responsibilities with the civic body’s departments.”

Ahlam Merza Head of Human Resources Development said a total of 170 students registered from various educational organisations and they have been assigned to different organisational units taking into account their location of residence.

“In preparation for the training programme a workshop has been conducted for the trainees where they have been introduced to the targets of summer training their rights and responsibilities and the suggestion system of the Dubai Government.

A training kit that includes all necessary information was also distributed to all” she said.

“The trainees are entitled to monthly scholarships in accordance with their educational levels and will be treated as employees in terms of their responsibilities at work.”
