Egypt Pres., Jordanian King discuss Gaza crisis


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Egyptian President Abdulfattah Al-Sisi and King Abdullah II, of Jordan, discussed by phone on Wednesday the latest developments of the crisis in Gaza Strip and the Egyptian efforts to stop the Palestinian bloodshed.

President Al-Sisi briefed the Jordanian monarch on the Egyptian contacts that led to the ongoing 72-hour humanitarian ceasefire between Israel and the Palestinian resistance groups, according to a statement by Presidential Spokesman Ehab Badawi.

The two leaders also discussed other regional issues of common concern, notably the combat against terrorism and the risks facing the Arab national security, Ambassador Badawi pointed out.

They agreed to continue consultation and coordination to serve the Arab issues and the bilateral ties, he added.
