Venezuela's oil revenues hit USD510b since 2003 nationalization


(MENAFN) Venezuela's Energy and Oil minister said the country's energy sector has made USD510 billion of oil revenues since the 2003 nationalization, Xinhua reported.

Following the decision to reclaim the nation's oil industry, more than USD300 billion have been spent in the past ten years on social programs, the minister added.

"The oil belongs to Venezuela. It cannot be privatized under any circumstances," he stressed at an event celebrating the 100th anniversary of oil exploitation in Venezuela.
