Oman, Estonia aim to boost trade relations


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) H E Eng Dr Ali bin Masoud bin Ali al Sunaidy Minister of Commerce and Industry on Tuesday met with Taavi Roivas Prime Minister of Estonia.

They discussed plans to increase economic cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting also discussed means of developing Omani-Estonian relations in the fields of e-Government services enhancing the business environment and trade ties between the two countries.

H E Eng Sunaidy commended the efforts of Estonian experts in training their Omani counterparts through the one-stop station project implemented by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in coordination with the Information Technology Authority and six other government agencies along with the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

During the visit H E Eng Sunaidy was briefed on the Estonian experience in supporting small and medium enterprises the Estonian Development Fund and entrepreneurship projects. He also met with the Minister of Foreign Trade and Entrepreneurship Minister of Education and Research of Estonia and a number of officials in the Estonian Unemployment Insurance Fund.

He also visited the Estonian Nortel Company which specialises in software development.

H E Eng Sunaidy was also briefed on the latest developments in the project.
