(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Al Shamal Sports Club has signed an agreement with Network Advertising and Events to implement fan engagement activities and build up excitement for the new season.
The new management agreement has been signed to create various sporting events for fans and widen community outreach programs in and around Al Shamal Club and Al Shamal City.
The contract was signed by Mohammed Issa Almuhaize, vice-president of Al Shamal Sports Club, and Shabrawi Khater, CEO of Network Advertising and Events, in the presence of members from both parties.
On signing the agreement Almuhaize, vice-president of Al Shamal Sports Club, said: "It's our pleasure to participate and compete in the Qatar Stars League (QSL), especially after an absence of four years. The club's management will work to support the team through implementation of various engagement and community outreach programs and continue to keep the Al Shamal Club's name on top of the Shamal residents (especially as the team will play its home matches at its new Al Shamal Stadium) and the general public of the country at large". He continued: "We are happy to have Network Advertising and Events as our partner agency to implement these programs."
Ali Khamis Al Kubaisi, General Secretary of Al Shamal Sports Club, said: "The club's management was keen on doing mini events associated with the team matches, especially since they
will be playing at home in Shamal and the events will be held throughout the season in coordination with Network Advertising and Events."
Shabrawi Khater, CEO of Network Advertising and Events, said: "We are really proud to work with Al Shamal Club who are already known as "Musketeers of the North" (Fursan Al Shamal). Under this agreement we will be organising many sporting events and community engagement programs during the 2014-2015 season that will target the communities surrounding Al Shamal Club, which represents the basis for building a fan base to support the club during their matches in the Qatar Stars League.
"We will soon be announcing a press conference to share more details about the fan engagement and community outreach programs that will be implemented by Network in cooperation with Al Shamal Club."
