Pakistan condoles with China over quake victims


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Pakistan's President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday sent messages of condolences to Chinese leadership over the tragic incident of earthquake causing huge number of life losses, said official press release.

According to an official release, President Hussain said in a letter to his Chinese counterpart: "I am deeply saddened to learn about the loss of precious lives and property due to severe earthquake that hit Southwestern Yunnan province on 3 August." "The Government and people of Pakistan express their profound sympathies and condolences to the government and people of China and to the bereaved families over the loss of their loved ones and their personal homes and property," he added.

Meanwhile, in a letter of condolence to the Chinese premier, PM Nawaz said: "We are confident that under your leadership the brave and resilient people of China will be able to overcome this disaster with courage and fortitude." "At this difficult time, we stand by Your Excellency and the great Chinese people and extend our support and solidarity," he added.
