India's GDP to hit 8.5 percent in the next couple of years


(MENAFN) India's GDP growth is expected to hit 8.5 percent in the next couple of years, due to the "pro-development policies" adopted by the BJP-led NDA government at the center.

"Our government is pursuing pro-development policies. I am sure these policies being pursued by the government will take up India's GDP growth to 8.5 percent in the next couple of years," the union minister told The Times of India.

Gadkari on Sunday gave a go-ahead for the redevelopment project of Sassoon dock drawn up by the Mumbai Port Trust.
