Saudi- Madani urges OIC members to review ties with Israel

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Iyad Ameen Madani on Sunday urged the OIC member states that have ties with Israel to "reconsider." "The OIC members have to reconsider their ties with Israel - a country that persists in killing innocent civilians, and tampering with the sanctity of their homeland and religion," the OIC chief said in a press release here.

He strongly denounced the Israeli strikes on mosques in Gaza Strip "undeterred by conscience or international laws" relating to conflict-hit areas.

"It wasn't sufficient for the Israeli war machine to kill civilians, destroy their homes farms and infrastructure, but the lust of the Israeli government for destruction turned places of worship too," Madani stressed.

"It's rare to find such brutality in the history of wars," he said, calling on the countries that provide Israel with material and political coverage to stop doing so otherwise they will be partners with the Jewish state in the outrageous atrocities.
