Lufthansa AG Airlines profits dip in Q2


(MENAFN) German airline Lufthansa AG said that its second-quarter net profits fell from a year earlier due to strikes and adverse currency effects, Xinhua reported.

The airline's net profits dropped from USD341 million to USD231.66 million compared with the same quarter last year, the cargo said.

Meanwhile, revenue declined by 2 percent to USD10.31 billion, according to the quarterly results released by the company.

The results also showed operating profits dropped to USD480.7 million, compared with USD577.1 million the year before.
