Japan's Nikkei Closes 25.46 Points Lower


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Kyo July 31 (QNA) - Japan's Nikkei-225 benchmark stock index was Thursday down 25.46 points (-0.16%) when trading closed at 15620.77 points after rising to 15759.66 points its highest level since January 23 earlier this year. Casio Computer led the gainers (+7.77%) up to Japanese Yen 1747 up by 126 from the previous close at 1621. Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha share was up +5.21% to close at Japanese Yen 222 from Wednesday's closing at 211. GS Yuasa Corp went down -6.31% to close at Japanese Yen 668 from the previous 713. Japan's Topix index lost 0.2 percent erasing gains of as much as 0.6 percent as the yen gained today after weakening by the most in four months yesterday. (QNA)
