Alia’s dream comes true
Alia Bhatt is on a roll. The actress who is a self-confessed fan of Ranbir Kapoor is finally doing a film with the heartthrob. Ayan Mukherjee will direct this pair for a film that will be produced by Karan Johar. The movie is expected to release on December 23 2016. It’s a dream come true for the chirpy actress who has openly said in interviews that she would like to marry Ranbir Kapoor one day. Well let’s hope this new pairing will result in crackling chemistry on screen. 2
Sonakshi in Bhavesh Joshi
We hear that Sonakshi Sinha has been approached to play the leading lady in Vikramaditya Motwane’s next film Bhavesh Joshi. This is the same film where Sidharth Malhotra replaced Imran Khan as the main lead. Sonakashi was seen in the director’s last film Lootera with Ranveer Singh. Touted as a super hero film the project one hears will also have a strong female character. 3
Kangana plays it safe
Bollywood seems to be going through a love-hate relationship with the photographers from the Mumbai media of late. First it was Shraddha Kapoor who had to apologise before the shutterbugs would click her at events due to her cold-shouldering them. Then it was superstar Salman Khan’s turn - when a tussle at a media event resulted in them boycotting him. Recently Kangana gave a statement to a newspaper saying that she was afraid of photographers following a brief hiatus from Mumbai. When the actress made a red carpet appearance after that interview was published the photographers told her if she was so afraid of them they would rather not click her. The actress promptly told them that her statement was not presented in the right manner and that she has high regards for the Mumbai photographers. 4
Imran at home
We hear that the shooting of Imran Khan’s forthcoming film Katti Batti has been postponed. Unfortunately that’s the only film that the actor has in his kitty at this moment. Sources say it will be a while before this film goes on the floor. Reason being that the director Nikhil Advani is busy with his current project Hero featuring Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty. Our sources also suggest that Kangana Ranaut has more or less been finalised as the lead actress for this naughty love story. It looks like Imran Khan’s bad luck continues; he is now sitting at home with practically no projects in hand. Except of course for his new born daughter who must be keeping him busy.
