(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Kyo July 29 (QNA) - Honda Motor Co. said Tuesday its group net profit for the April to June quarter rose 19.6 percent from the previous year to 146.51 billion yen due to the impact of newly introduced models and cost-cutting efforts. Its consolidated operating profit increased 7.1 percent to 198.04 billion yen on sales of 2.99 trillion yen up 5.4 percent posting record sales for the quarter Japan's Kyodo news agency reported. For the full business year ending next March the automaker revised upward its group net profit outlook to 600 billion yen up 4.5 percent from a year before. Its operating profit is projected to rise 2.6 percent to 770 billion yen on sales of 12.8 trillion yen up 8.1 percent. (QNA)
