China's SEOs net profit hits USD308.2b in 2013


(MENAFN) The Chinese Ministry of Finance said that state-owned enterprises (SOEs) net profit hit USD308.2 billion in 2013, up 4.4 percent over a year ago, Xinhua reported.

The enterprises' total assets stood at USD17.07 trillion last year, up 16.3 percent year on year, while total debt was USD10.88 trillion, up 16.7 percent on year.

China had about 155,000 SOEs at the end of 2013, up 5.8 percent from the previous year, including about 52,000 owned by the central government and the rest controlled by local governments.
