(MENAFN- Arab Times) 160;BULAWAYO July 24 (Agencies): Off-spinner Sharafuddin Ashraf took three wickets as Afghanistan kittled hosts Zimbabwe for 159 to win the fourth and final one-day international by 100 runs on Thursday and draw the series 2-2. Ashraf returned figures of three for 29 and along with seamer Dawlat Zadran (two for 39) was the pick of the bowlers as Afghanistan recorded their biggest ever 50-over victory by runs. Having been sent into bat Afghanistan posted a par-score of 259 as they were bowled out in the final over wicketkeeper Shafiqullah Shafiq top-scoring with 56. Seamer Donald Tiripano was the pick of the Zimbabwe bowlers as he recorded career-best figures of five for 63. Zimbabwe were in early trouble in their reply and never recovered from a position of 26 for six despite a rally from debutant wicketkeeper Richmond Mutumbami who struck 64 from 75 balls to play a lone hand for the hosts. Afghanistan lost the opening two games of the series but rallied in the final two matches to end a hugely satisfying tour for the Asian side. Also: HARARE Zimbabwe: Zimbabwe Cricket chairman Peter Chingoka stepped down on Thursday after two decades at the helm while a new national coach and a new limited-overs captain were also announced. The 60-year-old Chingoka tendered his resignation at ZC's extraordinary general board meeting. He was replaced by lawyer and vice chairman Wilson Manase. On a day of significant change for Zimbabwe cricket Brendan Taylor also resigned as one-day and Twenty20 captain and was replaced by allrounder Elton Chigumbura. Taylor will continue as Zimbabwe's test captain. And Stephen Mangongo was announced as the new Zimbabwe coach with incumbent Andy Waller promoted to the role of director of coaching. The sweeping changes come a few weeks before Zimbabwe hosts South Africa in a one-off test and three-game ODI series. Australia also tours in late August for a triangular one-day series also involving the two African teams. Chingoka leaves as head of ZC after over two decades in charge. He was the first black person to assume the role having taken over from Dave Ellman-Brown in 1992 just before Zimbabwe gained test status. During his reign Zimbabwe cricket moved from relative stability to a series of difficulties notably player strikes over non-payment of dues as a result of the body's significant financial difficulties. Chingoka also resigned as a member of the board.
