Available in the same size as the standard medium case, the water resistant option offers extra protection against liquids along with enough room to store the cameras and accessories, including a floaty backdoor, wifi remote and battery packs.
Treated with DWR, or durable water repellent, the water resistant case is designed specifically for users near bodies of water. The DWR treatment creates an impermeable layer over the case's nylon wrapping which reacts to water like a raincoat. It causes any liquid that it encounters to flow directly off it, rather than being absorbed into the fabric beneath. A problem that affects the ordinary GoPro case.
The case also features a two-part rubber seal situated above and below the zip. The two sections create a watertight seal around the zipper when shut, ensuring no water can reach the gaps between its interlocking teeth.
The water resistant case is the only model in CamKix's range that sports its own, unique, design. The adventure pattern emulates army camouflage not only for aesthetic purposes, but also to make it easier to spot in water-based environments.
