Vietnam, China border trade revenue to hit USD2.61b in H1


(MENAFN) The total revenue of border trade between Vietnam and China grew 13 percent to reach USD2.61 billion in the first half of 2014, Xinhua reported.

According to statistics of the committee, bilateral border trade maintained uptrend with an average growth of 4 percent per month.

During the first half of 2014, Vietnam posts a surplus of USD800 million in border trade, up 126 percent annually.

Rice was the item with largest export revenue during the period. A total of 529,000 tons of rice worth USD198 million was exported to China from January to June.
