British house sales surge in June

(MENAFN) Data from the British HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) showed that British house sales reached 109,580 in June, the highest since 2007, Xinhua reported.

Sales in June of 2014 and November of 2012 posted the highest since the pre-recession housing boom in 2007, the HMRC said.

With house price rising quickly, the Bank of England announced a cap on large mortgages and more strict stress tests for potential house-buyers to cool the surging market.

The National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) said that very few buyers are aged below 30. The number of buyers aged 18 to 30 constituted 3 percent of recorded sales for June.
