British ARM posts strong profits in Q2


(MENAFN) British ARM Holdings announced a strong increase of its second-quarter profits, driven by a significant growth from higher chip shipments and licensing revenue, Xinhua reported.

The Cambridge-based chip designer's profit before tax rose 9 percent in the April-June period, hitting USD160.7 million over the same period a year earlier, ARM said.

In the first half of 2014, ARM's total revenue stood at USD637.8 million, 9 percent higher than a year earlier, while profit before tax also increased by 9 percent to USD155.8 million.
