(MENAFN- The Peninsula) During Ramadan, and in fulfilment of its corporate social responsibility programme, a delegation from Qatar Railways Company (Qatar Rail) visited Dhreima (Qatar Orphan Foundation) and praised its humanitarian efforts to support orphans and satisfy their needs.
The delegation, led by Qatar Rail's Deputy CEO, Engineer Hamad Al Bishri, and Executive Director of Administration, Engineer Meshal Abdulla Al Obaidan, was welcomed by the foundation's Director, Khaled Kamal, who accompanied the guests on an inspection tour of departments, introducing them to social services and activities organised by throughout the year.
The delegation also got to know events in which children take part inside and outside the foundation. These events aim at securing a natural ambiance and normal life for children and give them the chance of building a better future.
Al Bishri said, "We express gratefulness to efforts of Dhreima officials and their continuous quest to help children experience a normal life. As part of its corporate social responsibility strategy, Qatar Rail is committed to supporting the hard work of charities and humanitarian foundations to meet the needs of different segments of our community and bring about a positive change in their lives.
"As we believe in the principle of social solidarity and the importance of sharing in the holy month, Qatar Rail confirms permanent readiness to help Dhreima and work with it to serve the future of our children."
The delegation also visited the library and was briefed on the inter-library system for children and methods of supervising them while browsing online through the help of teachers and specialists and Cultural Center where works of art by children of all ages are displayed.
The visit was part of Qatar Rail's social efforts and initiatives during Ramadan, as the company is cooperating with Zakat Fund and Qatar Charity to direct aids donated by its employees to the needy. Qatar Rail is looking forward to bringing joy to the needy through donations and promoting synergy between members of society.
