Hyundai Engineering wins USD775m project in Singapore


(MENAFN) South Korea's No. 1 builder, Hyundai Engineering and Construction Co., announced wining a USD775 million land reclamation project in Singapore, QNA reported.

The project, named Tuas Finger One, will be preceded in cooperation with South Korea's Samsung C&T Corp. and Japanese Penta Ocean, the firm said.

Hyundai holds a 29 percent stake in the joint venture, worth USD225 million, while Samsung and Penta Ocean controlling a 28-percent stake each.

Construction is expected to take 53 months with the completion date set for January 2019. Once the project is complete, it will be used as a new port facility by the city-state.
