China's trade deficit hits USD8.97b in June


(MENAFN) Official data showed that China has recorded a deficit of USD8.97 billion in its foreign trade in services in June, Xinhua reported.

According to a statement by the State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE), June-figure was up from a deficit of USD8.25 billion which was recoded in May.

The world's second largest economy's total revenue from trade in services stood at USD19.13 billion last month, while spending reached USD28.1 billion.

In the January-June period of 2014, the combined service trade deficit hit USD58.62 billion, the SAFE said.
