Qatar's Nakilat awarded USD18.95m contract


(MENAFN) Nakilat-Keppel Offshore & Marine (N-KOM) has recently won a USD18.95 million-worth contract to design and construct a floating jetty for Qatar Primary Materials Company (QPMC), according to the Peninsula Qatar.

The contract is expected to be completed in 2015, and will be the first project that N-KOM will be undertaking for QPMC.

N-KOM is a joint venture between Qatar's premier gas shipper Nakilat and Singapore-based Keppel, a leading offshore rig constructor and ship repairer.

N-KOM works mainly on engineering, procurement, installation and construction (EPIC) of the floating jetty. Once completed, the jetty will have an annual aggregates handling capacity of 7.8 million tons.
