ABM Resources NL (ASX:ABU) ("ABM" or "the Company") announces that it has received approval for mining at Old Pirate (Twin Bonanza Gold Project) in the Northern Territory from the Australian Government Department of the Environment under the Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999. The approval decision will be posted on the Department of the Environment website. This approval follows receipt of the approval from the Northern Territory, Environmental Protection Authority under the Environmental Assessment Act 1982 (NT) and paves the way for the completion of amendments to the Mine Management Plan and associated permits under the Mining Management Act 2001 (NT) to allow commencement of mining at the Old Pirate deposits. The Company is currently finalising the technical studies to support the lodgement of the amended Mining Management Plans with the Department of Mines and Energy (NT).
