Kuwait FM U.N. SecGen Hold Talks


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Wait July 21 (QNA) - Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on Monday met with U.N.

Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and the delegation currently accompanying him on a visit to Kuwait.

During the meeting Sheikh Sabah condemned the Israeli aggression on Gaza calling on the U.N. secretary general to urge the international community to shoulder its responsibilities and put an end to the escalating situation.

Meanwhile the two sides discussed the situation in Syria reaffirming the importance of continuing efforts to resolve the Syrian crisis through diplomatic means in order to stop the deteriorating conditions there.

They also touched on Iraq expressing concern over the Iraqi security situation in some regions stressing the importance of ensuring the unity of Iraq's territory. (QNA)
