(MENAFN) Batelco and Mobily have recently signed an agreement to enable Batelco offer a 4G high-speed mobile Internet while roaming in Saudi Arabia, according to Gulf Daily News.
Batelco customers are already able to roam on other 4G networks using a new IPX technology based on mutual agreements with roaming operators.
Batelco's consumer division general manager Muna Alhashimi said that many of customers travel to Saudi Arabia during Ramadan and during Eid holidays or to perform Umra, and the 4G LTE data roaming service will be a great help for them.
Ms Alhashimi said: "We currently have 1,345 roaming agreements with international operators and we will continue to expand in line with our strategy to provide our customers with access to the best communication connections to reach all areas of the world."
