Brazil eyes Japanese technology to build offshore oilfield


(MENAFN) According to a draft statement, Brazil is looking to use Japanese technology to build a mega offshore logistics center for developing oil fields far out to sea, QNA reported.

The draft indicates that Japan's Prime Minister is to propose that Brazil use Japanese large-floating-structure technology to build the center, Kyodo agency reported.

According to Japanese government sources, the offshore center under consideration would be about 300 meters long and 100 meters wide, and cost more than 50 billion yen to build.
