(MENAFN) Cambodia's commerce ministry reported that the country's exports of footwear and garment rose 16 percent in the first half of the current year, Xinhua reported.
The ministry added that the industry made a worth of USD2.92 billion during the January-June period of this year, up 16 percent from USD2.51billion compared to the same period last year.
The United States and Europe marked the main markets to which Cambodia's products were exported.
"The garment and footwear sector is expected to see a 15 percent growth this year," president of the Garment Manufacturers Association said.
