Egypt's Sisi chairs nat'l security council meeting


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Egyptian President Abdelfatah Al-Sisi chaired an emergency meeting by the National Security Council at the Presidential Palace on Saturday.

The meeting is expected to discuss the security situation in the country in the wake of an armed attack on Egyptian border guards earlier today, the state MENA news agency reported.

The attack, reportedly launched by arms smugglers at a military post on Al-Farafreh-Cairo highway, killed 21 soldiers and three gunmen and injured four soldiers.
