(MENAFN) The data storage technology Cloud Computing Services has become very popular in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region, The Peninsula Qatar reported.
The total investment in the cutting-edge technology is expected to reach USD4.7 billion by 2018, according to Gartner, Inc, an American information technology research and advisory firm.
From a regional standpoint, the Middle East and Africa region is expected to have the highest cloud workload growth rate from 2012 to 2017 with a CAGR of 45 percent, according to the Cisco Global Index.
"This cost-efficient method of granting remote access to information has led to an international cloud revolution. It helps increase staff collaboration, secure data, and reduce costs associated with on-premise assets," said a statement.
