India's Tata profit up 26.9 percent in Q2


(MENAFN) Net profit of Tata Consultancy Services, India's biggest software services exporter, saw a significant rise in the second quarter by 26.9 percent after being granted contracts from overseas clients, according to Arab News.

Consolidated net profit for the three months to June 30 boosted to USD840.5 million from USD663 million last year, the Mumbai-based company said.

That compares with analyst estimates of USD812 million rupees, according to Thomson Reuters data.
