Eidas interactive app for special needs people


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The new application aimed at helping people with hearing and visual impairment in their transactions with Eida uses both braille and sign languages.

The Emirates Identity Authority (Eida) has launched an interactive online application on its Facebook public account for the special needs people.

A senior official said the move is part of the ‘El Khair Huwiyati’ initiative (launched in Ramadan) that is in line with the activities of the Zayed Humanitarian Day.



Nadia Al Kamali Director Government Communications and Community at Eida said the application provides a detailed description on all ID services allowing users to lodge voice complaints enquiries remarks and even videotape sign language or written messages. “Eida that has over 180000 followers on social media platforms has designed the application in an extremely user-friendly manner.”



The authority is trying to develop all its 14 communication channels to enhance the services provided to customers enabling them to obtain all required information in the shortest time possible she stressed.
