Marzouki Holds Phone Talks on Gaza with Hollande Gul


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Nis July 17 (QNA) - Tunisian Caretaker President Moncef Marzouki discussed the situation in Gaza during phone talks with French President Francois Hollande and Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gul a statement by the Tunisian presidency carried by state news agency TAP said on Thursday.



In a phone call initiated Wednesday night by Hollande the two leaders reviewed "the development of the situation in the Gaza Strip and the follow-up of mediation efforts carried out with various Arab and international sides in order to put an end to the deterioration of the situation in Gaza." Marzouki had another phone conversation with Gul about "the serious situation in Gaza Strip following the Israeli attack" and "efforts exerted by the two countries to undertake an urgent international action to stop these attacks and find a solution to lift blockade on Gaza."
