EBay net profit surge 6 percent in Q2
(MENAFN) EBay, the online shopping website, announced posting a net income of USD676 million in the second quarter, a 6-percent increase over a year ago, QNA reported.
The California-based giant registered a 13 percent increase of its revenue, hitting USD4.4 billion compared to USD3.9 billion in the second quarter of 2013.
PayPal, eBay's popular payments subsidiary, witnesses a net total payment volume rise of 29 percent on-year, while its revenue for the period reached USD1.9 billion.
"We continued our momentum in the four competitive commerce battlegrounds of mobile, local, global and data," eBay Inc. president and chief executive said.
