Stylish exterior
The 2015 Sunny boasts a bold new front and rear treatment anchored by larger headlights, a more substantial looking fascia and standard chrome plating on the grille. Other exterior design elements include a fixed-roof antenna, blacked-out B-pillars, chrome door handles and front fog lights. Smart aerodynamic engineering helps create a low coefficient of drag in the segment which aids in the Sunny's impressive real-world fuel economy.
An exclusive 15'' V-spoke aluminiumalloy wheel design is available with mid variants and above. ''It is critical that we keep Sunny's look and feel fresh and its value equation high, with a rewarding driving and ownership experience. While keeping the 2015 Sunny's dimensions and packaging intact, the enhancements to the exterior give it a stronger, more contemporary presence,'' said an SBA official.
Roomy, refined interior
The new Nissan Sunny offers a high degree of comfort and refinement. Designed to appeal to young families looking for a medium-sized sedan that combines upscale design with space, quality and value-added features, the all New Sunny delivers ease of handling in city driving conditions apart from superior fuel economy.
The 2015 Sunny comes with a refreshingly new centre stack shape, Nissan Intelligent Key with push-button ignition, a drive computer with outside temperature display and a steering wheel with standard audio and Bluetooth hands-free phone system controls. It features a wide AM/FM/CD audio system, NissanConnect with mobile apps, standard auxiliary-in, USB/iPod controls, a passenger-side vanity mirror and new seat fabric.
The Sunny comes with dual airbags and anti-lock braking system (ABS) as standard fitment. With an interior volume of 2,549lt and a trunk volume of 490lt, it is one the largest in the segment. The car delivers more rear legroom than most mid-size sedans – in fact, better than even some luxury cars.
And the trunk design focuses on useable space, taking into consideration everything from the size of the hinges to the shape of the sidewalls. A 60/40- split fold-down rear seat is standard on SV and SL models for even greater cargo versatility.

Advanced engine technology
The 2015 Sunny utilises Nissan's global lightweight ‘V' platform and is powered by a 1.5lt HR16DE four-cylinder engine rated at 99hp at 6,000rpm. The engine features a range of fuel efficiency-enhancing technologies, including a dual injector system that allows a wider injection of fuel than a traditional single- injection system. Standard safety features include driver and front passenger airbags, ABS+EBD+BA and engine immobiliser.
Five well-equipped grades
Sunny 1.5 S MT/AT:
It features a stylish exterior with door mirrors (black folding manual with lever), a roof antenna, a black radiator grille and outside door handles with 175/R14'' steel wheels and a centre cap. Its interior boasts power and tilt steering with an odometer and twin trip meter, a drive computer with fuel economy, drive range and warnings (for door ajar, head lamp, key removal and low fuel).
It also has high back front seats with a fixed type head rest, manual slide and reclining facilities for driver and front seat, seat belt reminder (for driver only), manual AC (with new round dial type design), wide 2 DIN CD MP3/ Aux/ USB and two speakers, front power windows, a central door lock and a new steering wheel design. For safety, the Sunny 1.5 S MT/AT offers driver and front passenger airbags, ABS+EBD+BA and an engine immobiliser.
Sunny 1.5 SV AT: Includes S features in addition to attractive body coloured power operated mirrors, an anti-dazzle mirror and keyless entry with remote trunk opener. It also features a tachometer, chrome grill/door handles, full cover for the wheel and steering control for Bluetooth and audio.
Sunny 1.5 SV Comfort AT: It includes SV AT features along with a front fog lamp (with chrome finisher), rear parking sensors, rear power window, rear head rest (separate and adjustable), rear seat centre armrest with two cup holders, silver AC vents (cluster C and console), driver seat height adjuster, a front wiper (variable, intermittent and mist), a rear seat comfort fan, two speakers in the front and two speakers in the rear (four speakers in all) and 185/65 R15 tyres with alloy wheels.
Sunny 1.5 SL AT:
It features a rear spoiler with mud guard, fine vision meter with illumination control, a drive computer (with service interval indication), outside temperature display, an auto AC and a piano black centre cluster. It also has iKey with push button start, NissanConnect smartphone connectivity, outside rearview mirrors with LED turn lamps and a front bumper with lower chrome.
