BIBF lecturer awarded fellowship of the Chartered Insurance Institute

(MENAFNEditorial) Ms. Manal Mashkoor, a senior lecturer in BIBF's Centre of Insurance, has recently been awarded qualification of the UK's Fellowship of the Chartered Insurance Institute (FCII), becoming the first Bahraini woman and one of less than 6,000 insurance practitioners globally who hold this elite qualification.

The FCII is the Chartered Insurance Institute highest qualification, and is acknowledged within the global insurance profession as a benchmark of expertise.

Ms. Mashkoor expressed her pride in this significant achievement, and expects that it will help further boost the development of Bahrain's insurance sector.

"This certificate represents an added value to those working in the insurance industry, as well as an opportunity to strengthen their scientific and professional endeavors", she said.

Her dissertation focused on exploring the relationship between professional development attained by Bahraini professionals in the insurance industry and their career progress, a genuine issue within the local insurance industry.

The qualification involves passing the Business Ethics Programme (BEP) to be able to make informed and correct decisions on ethical issues which may arise on the job, and completing a major achievement that develops and enhances insurance knowledge and skills, such as a dissertation or otherwise.
