Tokyo Stocks End Flat on Wednesday


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Kyo July 16 (QNA) - Tokyo stocks ended almost flat in choppy trading on Wednesday as selling to cash in on recent gains offset buying triggered by slight weakening of the yen against the U.S. dollar.



The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average ended down 15.86 points or 0.10% from Tuesday at 15379.30 according to Japan's (Kyodo) News Agency.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange finished 0.09 point or 0.01% lower at 1273.59.



Major decliners included insurance nonferrous metal and rubber products shares while real estate and air transport sectors gained ground. (QNA)
