(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Bahraini Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa stressed Gulf union is the only choice for GCC countries to confront challenges and dangers in the region.

Upon arrival in Jeddah, Prince Khalifa said that the call for the Gulf union initiated by Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz "must be achieved without hesitation or delay." Prince Khalifa noted that the Bahraini kingdom sees the Saudi kingdom as its strategic partner, adding that the Bahraini people will never forget the Saudiss honorable stance and continuous support in most critical situations facing their country.

Earlier, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported Prince Khalifa's arrival at at King Abdulaziz International Airport. He was received by Deputy Crown Prince Muqren bin Abdulaziz, and Amir of Makkah Prince Mishaal bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.
