Japan's Prime Minister to Visit 5 Latin American Nations


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Kyo July 15 (QNA) - Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will visit five Latin American nations later this month for talks with regional leaders.

Chief of Japan's Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga announced on Tuesday the prime minister's 11-day tour from July 25th of Mexico Trinidad and Tobago Colombia Chile and Brazil.



Abe is expected to deliver a speech on Japan's Latin American policy in Brazil.

He will also meet leaders of 14 Caribbean nations in Trinidad and Tobago to discuss ways to promote economic cooperation between Japan and the region.



Suga said Latin America as a global manufacturing base and supplier of resources is increasingly important for the Japanese economy while its growing market and shared values make it a valuable partner for Japan.

Suga said that Abe's visit will help strengthen relations with each country in the region. (QNA)
