Qatari Amir discusses Gaza with Ban, Hollande


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on Sunday received phone calls from UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and French President Francois Hollande.

The conversations dealt with the latest developments of the situation in the Palestinian territories in light of the ongoing Israeli military onslaught on Gaza Strip and the international efforts to stop the attack and protect Palestinian civilians, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.

The Amir renewed his call on the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to assume its responsibility for stopping Israel's military policy of collective punishment against the people of Gaza. The discussion with the French President also reviewed the bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them, according to the report.
