GCC construction projects to hit USD195b by 2015
(MENAFN) Construction projects in the GCC countries are expected to reach USD195.67 billion by the end of 2014, which is 35 billion higher than in 2013, according to Arabian Business.
Contractor awards in the building and infrastructure sectors will make up USD134 billion by the end of 2014, compared to USD119.05 billion in 2013.
Saudi Arabia constituted the largest share of the contracts awarded in 2013 with USD64.29 billion, followed by the UAE at USD28.06 billion while the UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia are likely to lead growth in the construction market over the next few years.
