Iran expects concrete results out of nuclear talks with P5+1

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Ali Akbar Salehi Saturday described nuclear negotiations with the P5+1 group as "difficult," but the two sides could reach a concrete result.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran is following a logical method in the negotiations and has shown flexibility, and the other side will be responsible in case of failure of negotiations," Salehi said in a statement to the official IRNA news agency.

Meanwhile, Iran's top nuclear negotiator Abbas Aragchi said there has been a good progress in wording the draft of the comprehensive nuclear agreement "but there has not been progress in major and serious topics." Aragchi, also Deputy Foreign Minister, was quoted by IRNA as saying the two sides approved 65 percent of the draft agreement.

He hoped a progress would be achieved during the next round of talks in Vienna, Austria, in the next couple of days.

Aragchi said uranium enrichment was one of the "most serious" issues on the agenda of negotiations. "Adopting a decision and reaching an agreement is the toughest part of negotiations," he added.
