Israeli artillery fires back at rocket attack from S. Lebanon

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Israeli army's artillery fired shells at southern Lebanon, without causing any material damage, the National News Agency (NNA) said, in retaliation of rockets' attack earlier Saturday.

The news agency said the Israeli shelling was in response to earlier fire rockets from southern Lebanon toward the occupied Palestinian territories, adding Israeli warplanes were seen firing flares in the area.

The national agency noted that UN Forces in Lebanon (UNIFIL) forces were on high alert in the area, while the Lebanese army is imposing heavy security in Al-Qulayla field, south of Tyre.
