GCC tourists to Egypt up in May

(MENAFN) The number of tourists visiting the Egypt from the GCC has boosted to a level high in May, said the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Egyptian Tourism Authority (ETA), according to Arab News.

The number of tourists from Saudi Arabia increased by 6.3 percent during the month, while tourists from Kuwait boosted by 10.8 percent, and by 35 percent from the UAE.

The positive trend in growth comes as a result of the efforts put forth by the ministry and ETA in their Wahashtouna campaign, which was launched earlier this year to promote tourism from Arab and Gulf nations.
