Qatar to invest USD182b in developmental projects


(MENAFN) Qatar has budgetary provisions to invest over USD182 billion in various developmental projects over the next five years, excluding oil and gas projects and private sector investment, The Peninsula Qatar reported.

The Minister of Finance said that this year"s budget will comply with international financial regulatory standards and compliment with projects in line with the National Development Strategy 2011-16 and Qatar National Vision 2030.

According to the budge 2014-15, Qatar will spend USD61.95 billion, up by USD2.1 billion compared to USD59.8 billion in the previous budget. The 3.5 percent increase in the allocation is expected to accelerate the economic activities.
