Boeing expects more USD5.2tr aircraft deals in 20 years

(MENAFN) Aviation giant Boeing expects 36,770 planes to be delivered over the next twenty years in deals worth USD5.2 trillion on growing global aircraft demand, according to Arab News.

The forecast is 4.2 percent higher from Boeing's projection last year, with about a third of the total demand to come from the Asia-Pacific region.

Boeing said rising demand for single-aisle planes from low-cost carriers is expected to reason behind the growth.

Randy Tinseth, vice president for marketing at Boeing Commercial Airplanes, said: "Based on the overwhelming amount of orders and deliveries, we see the heart of the single-aisle market in the 160-seat range."
