Dubai's DGCX to launch spot silver contract

(MENAFN) Dubai"s Gold and Commodities Exchange (DGCX) plans to launch a spot silver contract, other than the spot gold contract it has launched this quarter, according to Arab News.

DGCX, which already trades gold futures, plans to launch the spot contract in June, but the chief executive of Dubai Multi Commodities Center, which hosts the exchange, said earlier that the launch had been delayed due to technical reasons.

Madyan Jabr said: "DGCX is about to launch the spot gold contract this quarter. Since this is the first of its kind in the region and in the exchange, a lot of work has to be done with the participants."
