Philippines' exports revenue grow 6.9 percent in May

(MENAFN) A local Filipino statistics agency said that the island's export revenue grew 6.9 percent on-year in May to USD5.48 billion despite the decline in earnings from electronic products, Xinhua reported.

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said the increase in the outward shipments of other manufactured goods strengthened export revenues during the period.

Electronic products remained the country's top exports in May, accounting for 37.3 percent of the total receipt, while revenue from these products declined 1.6 percent on-year to USD2.04 billion.

Earnings from other manufactures rose by 40.6 percent on year to USD633.14 million, while receipts from other mineral products more than doubled to USD485.18 million.
